Ninefourone FM Combined Churches Prayer Meeting
Great Things Yet To Come for The South Coast!
In order to continue the excitement and momentum gained from the Jesus
All About Life TV Campaign, Ninefourone FM the South Coast’s Christian
Radio Station are hosting a Combined Churches Prayer Meeting.
On Tuesday 3rd November 2009 from 7pm – 9pm the Combined Churches and
Christians from the Illawarra and Shoalhaven will meet at Shellharbour
City Community Church 302 Shellharbour Road Shellharbour, to pray that
Greater Things Are Yet To Come in our Cities!
Representatives from every Christian Denomination will gather together
on this date and pray for the cities of Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama,
Nowra, and surrounding areas as a united Christian voice. Each
representative will lead the prayer meeting for 10 minutes and then pass
it on to the next denomination representative.
Ninefourone FM General Manager Josh Reid said, “We were excited as we
saw all Christian denominations unite together for the JAAL Campaign,
and we wanted to see this continue. Hopefully this first Combined
Churches Prayer Meeting will be very successful and we will see several
of them throughout the year.”
Ninefourone FM invites all Christians on the South Coast to unite
together by praying as one voice for our region. Call Josh on 4228 8941
for more information.
Winter Sleepout
Friday 7th August 2009 will mark the second HOMELESS ILLAWARRA WINTER SLEEPOUT, which will seek to reach two goals – to raise funds for St Vincent de Paul Men’s Shelter and the Warilla Women’s Refuge and to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless in the Illawarra.
It is estimated that 1500 homeless people in our region (Including many children) sleep without shelter each night.
Senior Pastor of South Coast City Church Peter Starr feels that as a community we may recognise the problem but do not know how to assist. “People want to do something to help, so we are creating an initiative so that the community can take action.”
